Question: How does a hydraulic torque wrench work?
Answer: A hydraulic torque wrench, electric/hydraulic or air/hydraulic power console that operates a dual acting cylinder, and hydraulic hoses comprises the equipment required to work a hydraulic torque wrench. The hydraulic torque wrench attaches to the power console via the hydraulic hoses. The pressure from the hydraulic power console powers the hydraulic torque wrench to ratchet with a push of the power console's control button, thus breaking out (loosening) or making up (tightening) the fastener/nut.
Question: What is the difference between an IU-XL Series inline ratcheting torque wrench and a SU-XL Series square drive ratcheting torque wrench?

With the IU-XL Series, the interchangeable hex inline ratcheting heads and body/cylinder units are available in various sizes to meet the size and torque requirements of various fasteners/hex nuts. The SU-XL Series is a square drive hydraulic ratcheting torque wrench that utilizes industrial impact sockets from 3/4" to 2-1/2" square drive to engage fasteners/nuts.
